The month of May is going to end in a week.
What month is May to you?
Green reflected on the hand-made windowpanes |
The month
of May is green, especially fresh green of growing vegetation.
Green
colors sparkle on the water.
Green breeze sways noren curtain gently.
I like it when I can see the green through the hemp noren curtain.
New leaves and blades laugh in the sun, and on the water.

ReplyDeleteAll this green color guiding me through your lovely photos till I arrived at the loveliest one in the end! What a sweet little boy and what a pretty mommy! :-)
ReplyDeleteDear Yoko - Thank you very much for the two references you kindly gave me on my Mackintosh post. I enjoyed looking at them and could see the resemblance to Mackintosh's library. The Japanese influence was very strong during the Art Nouveau period in Europe.
ReplyDeleteThis post positively zings with freshness and sparkle beautifully captured by you, and what a beautiful photo of both your lovely daughter and grandchild.
So nice to see your daughter and grandson. How happy they look. I love the deep green in all your photos. So nice to see. May for me is the month when it was finally dry enough to plant the small garden I have. It is still raining a lot in May and has been raining a lot all Spring. Have a wonderful week ahead!
ReplyDeleteHow nice the combination between green and the light. Congrats to your grandson of 1 years old
ReplyDeleteHave a good new week!
こんばんは

ReplyDeleteI love the water-reflected photos - almost like Monet's paintings. You are really good at capturing these images.
ReplyDeleteThe mother and child photo reflects pure bliss and contentment.

Hello Yoko,
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing so wonderfully calming and restful in any garden as a sea of green. Whether it is from grass, trees or plants, green is so soothing. Your pictures capture the essence of green so delightfully. The excitement of the first flush of green, the quiet reflections of green in water, the vibrancy of bright green as it provides a background for other colours.
May has nearly gone but it holds such lovely memories for you.......these will be evergreen in your heart!
Very green....it has been like that here in Portland too where I live.
ReplyDeleteWhat a dear little boy! May is my favourite month. In fact, I have now changed it to my "official" birthday month. My real birthday is in January which is so gloomy. I prefer to celebrate in beautiful May, with leaves of so many different shades of green. I look forward to May every year.
ReplyDeletehi yoko, thxs for popping back. i was amazed by your images, i am developing quite a soft spot for japan and you make it sparkle here, yes, i think so, like stardust. will love to stop by here, from time to time, soaking it all in. happy birthday to grandson! :))) n♥
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable grandson you have. And you've captured the magic of May beautifully with these stunning photos.
ReplyDeleteYour grandson is a sweetie! Yes, spring is so green, isn't it wonderful? Every year I am surprised by how fast spring chases away the winter!
ReplyDeleteThis is a stunningly beautiful series of images, Yoko. Congratulations on your grandson! Thanks, too, for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeletesuch lovely images, each one a joy to see!
ReplyDeleteYour grandson is a gem as well. Happy Birthday!
まさに薫風ですね。PCの調子が悪くてコメントに再度挑戦です。どれも本当に爽やかな空気を感じます。いい季節に生まれてお孫さんすくすくですね。
ReplyDeleteMy heartfelt congratulations! I enjoyed greenery, so rich and fresh. And I borrowed the picture of irises reflecting in the water for my screen backdrop. You don't mind, do you? Thank you! Have a great June week!
ReplyDeleteso happy to see your grandson..what a joy he will bring to your sorrow..my condolences on your mothers departure..I visited kyoto and it was indeed very hot for may but the azaleas were in bloom and rhododendrons too..I find Japan truly amazing ..so clean so quiet and the food ! I still could not see all the wonderful sites in the time allotted I will have to return..
ReplyDeletei often wondered why there are no roses in the Japanese garden ..are they just too much trouble to gorw??No place in the world has such great trees full and lush and very green....hope you return soon
That is such a magical kaleidoscope for May. I always find green color to be infused with a lot of hope and brightness and of course warmth to fill our lives. I am late to your posts as I was travelling, apologies and very sorry to hear about your mother. I keep her in my prayers and as June unfolds, pray that God blesses her with all of the season's warmth, care and good health with her near and dear ones by her side.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Yoko.
